1. Ownership of Intellectual Property

A. Copyrights

  • Software Code: All source code, binaries, algorithms, and technical documentation.
  • User Interface (UI): Dashboard layouts, icons, and graphical assets.
  • Documentation: User guides, tutorials, API references, and knowledge base content.

B. Trademarks

  • "MagicTradeBot" name, logo, and all brand identifiers.
  • Product Names: Feature-specific names (e.g., "SmartStopLoss™").

C. Patents (if applicable)

  • Proprietary trading algorithms or AI models (e.g., [Patent Number]).

2. License Grant

  • Limited, Non-Exclusive, Non-Transferable license to:
    • Use the software solely for personal or commercial trading.
    • Host it on your own servers during the license term.
  • Prohibited Uses:
    • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or modifying the core software.
    • Reselling, sublicensing, or distributing the software.
    • Using our trademarks without prior written consent (e.g., in marketing materials).

3. User-Generated Content

A. Strategies & Configurations

  • You retain ownership of custom trading templates and configurations.
  • By publicly sharing strategies (e.g., via our Marketplace), you grant us a royalty-free license to host, display, and analyze them.

B. Feedback & Contributions

  • All suggestions and code contributions (e.g., via GitHub) become the property of MagicTradeBot.
  • We may use them without compensation or attribution.

4. Third-Party IP

  • Exchange APIs: Platforms like Binance and Coinbase retain rights to their APIs and data.
  • Open-Source Components:
    • We use libraries listed in [LICENSE.md].
    • You must adhere to their respective licenses (e.g., MIT, GPL).

5. Trademark Usage Guidelines

Permitted Uses

  • "Powered by MagicTradeBot" (with logo and link).
  • Fair use in reviews or case studies.

Prohibited Uses

  • Modifying the logo or suggesting affiliation/endorsement.
  • Using trademarks in domain names (e.g., "MagicTradeBotTools.com").

6. Violations & Enforcement

A. Actions We May Take

  • Enforcement:
    • Terminate licenses for IP violations.
    • Issue takedown notices (e.g., DMCA).
    • Pursue legal action for damages (e.g., unauthorized resale).
  • Emergency Patches: Critical updates may be released with 12-hour notice.

B. Reporting Infringements

To report IP violations, email sales@magictradebot.com with:

  • Proof of ownership (e.g., copyright registration).
  • URL or location of the infringing content.
  • Your contact information.

C. Your Responsibilities

  • Monitor the download section for software updates.
  • Test updates in a staging environment before deploying to production.
  • Back up your data prior to upgrading.
